This image above shows the artist looking directly towards the camera, engaging the audiences attention immediately. This shot is intimate but its tone is much less serious than other images below and the deliberate positioning of the lighting has allowed two shadows to be created behind the artist, like she isn't alone.  This image uses much softer lighting than other images, creating fewer shadows with less contrast. Unlike the other images the artist is the main focus as there are no other elements allowing the attention tone drawn away from the artist that an individual can see. The mannerism in this particular shot creates a very serious tone also.    In this particular shot, the artist is caught in a 'natural position' with no direct eye contact with the audience/viewer.
